The MarkBook success story is working here very nicely and has been the catalyst for the implementation of all the things the Ministry has been telling us for 5 years. Finally, we can get away from all their binders and actually implement the good assessment.

Another year has come and gone and once again MarkBook has been a godsend. ...thanks so much... for an amazing program. I have used spreadsheets since 1989. The printouts were not very easy to read and it used to take hours to crunch the numbers - I had to design my own columns and rows and fonts and the possibility of formula errors meant checking and rechecking constantly. This semester however I discovered MarkBook... and it was amazing. At first I kept updating my spreadsheets because I couldn't believe that MarkBook was as simple and reliable as it appeared. It is the perfect program for this English teacher. Teaching a new curriculum with new expectations means my marks must reflect the new categories, strands, and learning skills for the new report cards. Such reporting takes 2 minutes using MarkBook.

I already use MarkBook and it's brilliant! I have persuaded the school to trial it throughout the College and wouldn't be without it, so much so that I have bought a Palm handheld for portability.

This is a powerful tool for the informed teacher... The Rubrics are clear for all assignments and your (grade book) is the paradigm that can be used to teach and help parents see what their child is doing or not doing. It really takes the teacher out of the lime light and puts the student in the light. Together the parent, teacher and MarkBook can help the student improve. We can instantly plot the grades at any point in the term.
